There are moments that you have already pictured it in your mind without seeing it in your film, on your camera or printed on paper. And it's not so much the need for satisfaction as to translate this need from fantasy into reality. I think this was the main reason I turned to the world of photography. A world that changes your way of thinking. Everything is now framed.

Elpis Avrameli

Since her school years, she has dedicated a lot of time browsing through magazines and collecting black-and-white portraits that caught her eye. She experienced the freedom of expression through her first automatic camera, snapping pictures during the day and spending long nights experimenting with light and colors. She ended up studying the art of photography, which ultimately became her full-time occupation.

Along with her studies, she worked as assistant photographer to various professionals. Her personal career started by the side of Dimitris Andritsos. Since then, she has been one of the main photographers of the studio, working on the coverage of weddings, as well as portrait photography projects.

When looking at her frames, her fondness for natural light is obvious. She believes that light equipment can go a long way when photographing someone for the first time, in order to win their trust. This directness and positive attitude are distinct throughout her work.

During a wedding photoshoot, she encourages the couples to forget that there is a camera looking at them, so that they can follow their impulses and spontaneously express their feelings.

For Elpida, the most sentimental moment of a wedding is when the father of the bride gives away his daughter to the groom. It is a sacred moment that marks a new beginning.
